Well, I did it. I decided to take the plunge and start blogging to keep up with my exercising habits, (or lack there of).
I was going to a gym last year and quit around September. I was going to meet a friend in the mornings around 4:30 A.M. at the local gym. We did this for about a 2 years at Slender lady then moved out to the gym when SL closed.
We built a house on our farm and moved out to the country. I am so scared of snakes... I hated leaving in the mornings. The dogs would bark, and my hubby would get upset because we woke him up early. So I quit... just quit... no more exercising, no more meeting Gretchen, no more walking, no more weights...
I can't say as I gained any weight. I was already up past 175... Not a happy place for me.
When I got pregnant with Clara, I weighed 124... After I had Clara, I weighed 172... After nursing Clara, I got back down to 124. I hated driving out of town to work and leaving Clara at daycare. YUK... It was awful. So when my husband said to "quit", I immediately did. That was in 1999. I became a stay at home mommy and eventually my weight inched up to where I am today.
The first week of December 2010, I got a call saying they saw something on my mammogram and they wanted to do another one. I Facebooked a High School friend to see if she was going to be in town. She agreed to meet me after my mammogram so I went in on December 6th and they saw a cluster of stars, Yes, it was the "Belt of O'Harry" as I called it. I had done some research and knew this was calcifications.
What I didn't know was that it was cancer...I called a girl friend (our school nurse) and she said she would take me for the biopsy. I also called Missy Lamb (my bff from High School) and she met us early the morning of the 7th and we shopped before I had to go for a Stereotactic biopsy. We decided it was a TaTa day and that we would celebrate the miracle that breast's are. After the Biopsy, we shopped some more.
I told the nurse that I wasn't driving 60 miles to get a yes or a no, and that I wanted a phone call from someone telling me the outcome of the biopsy.
Dr. Nunnelley called on December 8th to break the news. I was at a Lions Club Christmas Party. He said it wasn't good news. I told him it was either yes or no, and that if it was yes, we would just take out the bad stuff. He said it was DCIS, and it was cancerous. I told him no problem, we would just get a little trim.
Until next time...
And the rest of the story is that God is still God and only He knows what is ahead. Good Work on putting it in words. You are an inspiration. Love U+
