Walking to a new me

I finally started using the treadmill.  I didn't like it at first.  But now after a month of walking, I am beginning to feel like I am getting somewhere.  I am trying to walk between 10 and 16 miles per week. I try to do 2-4 miles a day.  I don't walk every day. but I try.  Last week I walked 12.7 miles.  This week I am only at 5. 

I still feel like this is success.  Since I sat for a year between surguries and did absolutely nothing... I have lost 10 pounds walking and watching what I eat... If I have a huge meal, I walk extra :-) 

Remember to be your best advocate and walk, walk, walk... When someone tells you the treadmill is too loud, tell them to go outside.  When someone tells you they can't hear the tv, tell them to read a book.  Don't let anyone get you down.  You are special.
